K&N, Why don't use Thread?

I'm an idiot,lookin' for the thread(s) on why not to use K&N or oiled type air filters,the freakin' search engine is givin' me I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER. I looked in the last 6-7 pages of threads,no luck. I need to show a friend of mine the reasoning behind it. He thinks I'm BSn' 'em. Thanks for the help.

I put in BHAF and got nothing- there have been what 3,462 threads on it? Search engine is MIA!!!

You can do it the old fashion way. Go to product and ass. And just start going thru all the old threads for the last year or how ever long?

Actually it seems to be better since they got rid of the avatars and lowered the search parameters to 3 letters.
