Not sure what this noise is. I talked to dodge on the phone they said it would not be a wheel bearing making that noise and would probably be a driveline ujoint. Is there a way to determine this. it does not appear to have any abnormal amount of play. any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I can hear it best 15 mph and below. it slows or speeds up with the speed I am traveling. I would imagine it makes the noise while going faster it's just not noticable due to road noise and engine noise. I don't feel any vibrations either.

It sounds like a U-joint, sometimes there will be brown residue where the cap of the joint fits on the cross. You might have to disconnect it from the differential to determin if it is bad. bg

well i finally figured it out. It's the front outer passanger u joint. I bought both and am going to replace them on wednesday. Sounds like it's tough to do but hopefully With a little elbow grease they will pop out fairly easy.

Do some research on pulling the hubs. They can be difficult to sat the least. Depending on the milage you might want to do ball joints and hubs as pm maintanence.

I'll be helping Alindsey1237 with this on Thursday. Anything special we need to know? I was reading over on another forum we will need a 44MM socket to get the hubs off? Any other help greatly helps! Thanks.

The u-joints are super easy to replace, as long as you don't BEND the ears on the shaft. If you do, you're buying new shafts (and from Dodge, it's inner + outer + joints).
