Competition Diesel Drags August 13 SC

Well, completed my first pull with the wife's 6 speed. Definitely fun, but I let the smoke out of the clutch pretty good! It drove us home fine, so I guess I'll just take the hint not to pull with that clutch again. I figured I'd be okay since I heard the stock clutch is good to about 400 hp. After last night I got to doing the math, and the guy I bought the drag comp from dynoed an additional 170hp. That puts it at a little over 400 (flywheel) - oops.

Anyways, two of my buddies in automatic common rails took first (4. 10 DRW on 265s) and second (3. 55 SRW on 305s) in the modified (single turbo) and king of the hill (open). Both had 100hp+ injectors, suncoast trans, and a Bullydog downloader, and the SRW had a new super 40 turbo. Both pulled about the same. For what it's worth both their trucks would be "street" by DHRA rules.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in Indy!

MY truck is down for now :{ but I am picking up a head and dropping off a pump down there in a couple weeks :D

Which would be ???

Inquiring minds would like to know :)

(BDDL+100hp injector+super 40) - should be a nice combo!

EDIT - wow, I feel like a dip, I thought you meant "pull" as in on a dyno, Duh...

I wonder what HP those truck are making?

The SRW with the turbo clearly has more power, but was at a bigtime traction and gearing disadvantage. He will be at Indy and I would guess will dyno it there. The Super 40 cleaned up all the smoke to a very slight haze once it spooled. Drives nice too. Not as laggy as other 40s or a B1 on a 550hp truck I have driven.
