All it takes is one or two people (preferably two IMO) that are committed to making it fly. If you wish you can get a list of the TDR members in your area that you can mail to get it off the ground. In our case (the GLTDR) we haven't ever done a mailing. We started here on the TDR site and then started our own site from there and away we went. If you'd like I'd be happy to talk to you over the phone and give you my thoughts/ideas/suggestions on the best way to get rolling - just email me at stevest@voyager.net and I'll send you my phone number so we can talk.

I'm in the general area of KC. #ad
Dirtwaterfox is up around Leavenworth too. We've both gone over to the St. Louis get togethers and wouldn't be opposed to getting something going around here.

Hey KAT,

That sounds like alot of fun. I would be Interested! I'm guessing that that would be held at MC racing. I think that they are the only one who has a dyno in the KC area, right? How many dodge folks do you expect to be there? I don't want to feel out of place. Do the truck owners have to be a member of the tdr or the psd site? I've been wanting to get my truck dynoed anyway. It is just hard to come up with the money to fund this habit. I'm currently going to school for caterpillar dealer (Dean Machinery). I'm only 19 and alot of people don't take me serious when i want to buy something. It makes it hard.
well thanks for the post and the link

<font color=blue>To keep things on "one" thread, please keep checking this thread for the updates here on the TDR. Its in the "Events" forums. I figure I can prolly round up at least 5 Omaha area trucks, maybe more. You won't feel outta place... ... .

And don't worry bout bein young, I am only 24. I worked for a CAT dealer in CO (and went to school for diesel mechanics too @ Denver Automotive & Deisel College) Wagner Equipment Company. <font size=-2>

I'll be in KC area (Olathe), around 3/12/01 for a couple / three weeks. Would be happy to meet with anyone and tell you what we are doing to get the Central Florida TDR group going. Will add more later, when I arrive in area. Or reply to this post before 3/10/01

<font color=blue>Sure thats fine, but I can't garentee everyone will get on the dyno... . not sure how many will show up or how many they will dyno in one day.

But we can still get all the trucks together.

BigYellowIron, I now live in the KC area myself. Ever since leaving Tulsa (and especially since I've seen more folks from that area posting), I've missed having the opportunity to meet with like-minded Ram enthusiasts. The KC Cummins event last fall was a hoot, and I got to meet several TDR members there, including KatDiesel and some other guys who drove down from Omaha.

I came close to setting up a local chapter down south after setting up an informal TDR gathering in Tulsa a year ago January (see https://www.turbodieselregister.com/ubb//Forum18/HTML/000006.html - it was also written up in the issue 28 of the TDR), but then I took job change that relocated me to KC. I’d been watching for some time now to see if anyone else from his area would be interested in setting up a chapter. I’d have gotten the ball rolling myself, but I’m having to work too many hours to have given the effort the attention it would need. But now that it seems there are a few of us here, I’d be quite interested in seeing if we can make something happen. Let me (and the others) know what you think. Perhaps an informal howdy session next Saturday for breakfast somewhere? Even if it’s only a couple folks, I quite enjoy talking Cummins Ram. It appears most respondents could make an easy ride to somewhere central. And of course, I don’t mind driving The Beast a few miles to meet with other Rammers…

bruce,
That sounds like a really good idea, I would be willing to meet up with anyone. I seen on your signature that you have an auto and have some work done to it, I would like to see it. Just let me know if you want to maby get together. I will be working nights this week, so saturday morning might have to be a little later than most people are used to. Just post me a note.

Adam, an 11AM Bob Evans omelet is about right for me on a Saturday morning. Much earlier and I don't have much of an appetite.

I don't know what we might find between Ex Srpgs and Olathe, but how about we meet at Cummins MidAmerica at 8201 NE Parvin Rd at about 11AM? We can figure some place to go from there if we'd like. If that'll work, let me know and we can finalize a plan.

I've heard back from pogodually already, and he'll be right down the street from me next week. He's the pres of a very large Florida group, and I'm sure he could provide some very good guidance.

Adam, I'll be there at 11. Pogodually won't get to KS until Sunday, so we'll have to catch up with him later. I'll be in touch with him once he gets to town, and see when it'll work for us all to get together. I've been in touch with a few other guys that might want to meet, too, so I'll send out a few emails.

See ya then!

Yea that sounds good. I think thar front street is about halfway between here and there. But cummins sounds like a good place to meet. I'll be looking forward to meeting you and pogodually. Can't wait to see more cummins.

It was alot of fun to gather like we did saturday. It was good to meet some guys from the TDR. I'm glad the Bruce and Lacy was able to come. This is something thae we should do again. I still am wanting to try to make a chapter in KC. I'm still tring to figure out the stuff it takes. Steve St. Laurent e-mailed me hid phone number to call him I just haven't had enough time to do so. I really enjoyed this little gathering. I hope we can get togather again soon. It is real nice to be able to meet really nice people like i did today.

Adam

Hey Adam, I'm just alittle north of you. I've been going to the St. Louis area to meet with some Rammers. K. C. is diffently closer. I'll watch this site or you can e- mail me when you guys are getting together again and I'll try to be there.

Ok well I think that we need to get a Kc group going. Please post on here if you want to get together and see what it takes. I'm still kinda clueless as to what it takes. Bruce, Lacy you guys want to get together again? I plan on going to the phord dyno day at MC racing on march 25, maby all the dodge guys that are in the kc area can go and we can get together there and talk about it?
Well let me know what you all think
