BigYellowIron, I now live in the KC area myself. Ever since leaving Tulsa (and especially since I've seen more folks from that area posting), I've missed having the opportunity to meet with like-minded Ram enthusiasts. The KC Cummins event last fall was a hoot, and I got to meet several TDR members there, including KatDiesel and some other guys who drove down from Omaha.
I came close to setting up a local chapter down south after setting up an informal TDR gathering in Tulsa a year ago January (see
https://www.turbodieselregister.com/ubb//Forum18/HTML/000006.html - it was also written up in the issue 28 of the TDR), but then I took job change that relocated me to KC. I’d been watching for some time now to see if anyone else from his area would be interested in setting up a chapter. I’d have gotten the ball rolling myself, but I’m having to work too many hours to have given the effort the attention it would need. But now that it seems there are a few of us here, I’d be quite interested in seeing if we can make something happen. Let me (and the others) know what you think. Perhaps an informal howdy session next Saturday for breakfast somewhere? Even if it’s only a couple folks, I quite enjoy talking Cummins Ram. It appears most respondents could make an easy ride to somewhere central. And of course, I don’t mind driving The Beast a few miles to meet with other Rammers…
