Oh, I made a promise to the little woman some time ago. I thought she'd forgotten, but, she didn't. .

John, I know, this has been the busiest and fastest summer I can remember!! I haven't talked diesel in a long time to anybody!!!

Robin

Whooaaa!! I may get to go after all. The little woman said so!! Course, as Al Bundy used to say, "you know what you gotta do now, cowboy!" SO, I will have to walk that extra mile to go. You married guys know what I mean, except Yogi, he RULES his house!

So, hopefully, I can and meet some of the guys here I haven't met before! :)

I'll try and bring some stuff to eat as well... !

Robin

I don't know if I'll be able to make it now. Just got home about an hr. ago from Portland Or. , and may have to leave again tomorrow or Fri. , prolly won't know for sure till Sat. Will be in touch.

Larry

How about where I-70 turns into the turnpike on the east end of Topeka. I should already be on the turnpike and can just sit and wait. I do have a CB (and I think it's working right been havin problems w/ it lately).

Nathan

That sounds good to me.

So from there to Larance, Last head count, how many there?

Then hywy 10 to OSR, since I will be lost at this point. unless someone eles knows the way.

What time do you guys think you will be hitting Lawrence? And whether or not you guys pick up with Robin there and go through town to K-10 or stay on I-70 is up to you but I need to know where to be sitting and when in order to be there. Not to mention Robin has been here before and knows how to get there as well.

Speaking of which, ROBIN..... you must attend, I said so... . LOL... . I'm passing up Chumps (eeerrrrrrrr I mean Chiefs) tickets for this... LOL... especially if Larry can't come, then I need atleast one of you there for my sanity... LOL

Russell

I got to looking at the map and I can probably find my way in from Lawerence on K-10. And it looks easier for me to meet you guys there rather in Topeka, I haveta backtrack some if we meet in Topeka.

So I guess if it doesnt bother you guys I'll meet ya either at K-10 in Lawerence or up where you guys get off of the turnpike. I'm familiar enough with Lawerence I can find my way around.

Nathan

Well as Robin will tell you, if you get off at the first exit for lawrence (west side) and go South on that rd. it will take you around the south side of town to dead end at the light make a left N. and take it a few lights and I beleive there is a sign for K-10 (I know there is a Custards last stand ice cream place there on the N. E. corner) and at the light make a right turn going east again, and stay there until you see me in KC (or more technically Lenexa). But thats if you guys want to go through there, its that or everyone meet on the turnpike roll on into KC and we will meet at the speed way or thereabouts.

Russell

Actually, it doesnt matter where you meet in Lawrence, probably better on the turnpike, especially if your coming from Topeka. Also, I read OSR's description on how to get there, and I can shorten that up about 15 miles. Like he said, go south on 435, but get off on Shawnee Mission Parkway, go east until you hit I-35, Go north just a short ways then you hit the Antioch exit.

If you guys don't mind, call me when you are going thru Topeka, and I will meet you at the west Lawrence exit (the second Lawrence exit). Or we can go to the south side of Lawrence. My number is 785-841-3283. And I have a CB, just let me know what channel.

Oh, and what time you gonna hit Lawrence, rough guess??

Robin

My parents live in Overbrook and I'm staying there Sat. night so I can just shoot over on US 56 and then up US 59 to K-10. I didn't realize they were that close to Lawrence.

I'll probably be at K-10 and US 59 at about 9:15-9:30. That ought to be about the same time the others get there I would guess.

Nathan

I forgot to say... . When I said I can meet you on the Turnpike. I am talking about Sunday for the dyno, I can't make it Saturday to the pulls!! And I wanted to see OSR run!! He pulled a trailer away from my house and the horsepower was awesome!! (The trailer was empty)... . :)

not to mention that was my dad's 02, it is NOTHING compared to my 97 2500, trust me especially if my charger will hold up this weekend, if it does I plan to start producing them.

Hey Robin, I don't think the trl. was the only thing empty in that rig!! :-laf

BTW, I can't make it Sun. , got a trl. setting in my yard that I have to del. in Houston Mon. , I'll have to catch the next dyno. You keep them all straight down there Robin! I was sure wanting to make this one, wondering how many horses that Juice and water inj. is making is driving me crazy!

Larry

Yep, if your going to the Dyno and on the turnpike, its the best and fastest way to go. Call me when you are going thru Topeka, I will be at the West Lawrence turnpike gate and the redneck radio will be on 19 until you advise otherwise... . Robin

Hey guys, been busy picking corn and drilling wheat. rains have been a blessing but now we are back in the field.

I have just made a deal with a college friend to buy his 94 ctd from him. It is a 2x4, reg cab of course, auto, with a McKinnly conversion (the back of the cab is cut out and a sleeperis put in with a seat inside. It had over 300k miles and still on the original trans!!! He bought it new and rodeo in it, now he lives in Amarillo and sells frozen streaks and rodeos.

Pics to come.

Hey guys long time no chat. So I thought I would give everyone an update. Things are going fairly well here. Finally got the truck running somewhat decent, got all the oil leaks fixed, and got fourwheel drive working finally. Even found time to do some pump work and timing on the engine. Also finally got a decent hook for the year, and sure enough it was the last one of the year, but now we know what we have and what needs to be changed ( A LOT... . LOL). But for those of you who don't get to speak to Jon on a regular basis', we had I think a very productive pulling season. His 03 is extremely close to being dialed in, and has put on some very impressive shows over the last month and half. It seems as if business is booming for him, to the point that what ever hair he has left won't be there much longer... LOL. Hopefully we will find time to get the 01 running and ready for some big shows and possibly some exhibitions around the KS, MO area by next summer... (HINT JON)... . lol

On a personal note, no my wife hasn't left me yet, and having gotten to ride in the truck on the last pull, she seems more into than ever, I just have to keep the cost of it WAY DOWN>... but things seem to be going well and at the very least in the right direction.

Hope all is going well with you all
