I finally have some time to get some new pictures up of my Katzkin seats just look in my gallery. Let me know what you guys think, or any questions you may have.

Looks good. I have Katzkins in my truck as well. As a matter of fact I planned it that way when I ordered my truck. The cost was half what the cost was for the leather upgrade in a SLT and while the seats were out I had the FatMat placed throughout the inside. As soon as I find my digital camera and get my truck back from the paint shop I'll get some picture of mine up in my Reader's Rigs section.

BTW, I had an interior shop do mine because I was planning on having the FatMat done at the same time and I didn't have the time to mess with it. Katzkins says it is a do-it-yourself job (if your the adventurous type). Took my guy 2 days to do the whole thing.

Thanks for the replies and the comments guys. I had F&H Auto Upholstery (a very good shop) in Wheatridge Colorado install my covers and it only took them about 6 hours. :--) . The total cost was $1,236. 63. Money well spent for the seats I wanted to begin with.

Seats are easy the door panel inserts, at least on my truck, were a bit_ _. Although, I still have to do the drivers door.

The center console required some assistance from a pro.

Thanks for posting Siver03. Just makes me kick myself again for ordering the factory leather and getting 75% vinyl  LOL

A week ago at the NW BOMBers February BOMB Party I got to spec out Red Ramrod's waayy sweeet red & black leather interior! He had his done at a place in the Seattle area. Wasn't Katzkin but it's high quality.

Vaughn, you can get Katzkins either way. Mine are leather on the seating surface only (both front and back), but I could have ordered full leather. I just think the Katzkin grade of leather is better than factory.

As far as I know the only leather on the oem's are the seating surface on the front seats. The rear is entirely vinyl and the side bolsters on the fronts are vinyl.

Jeff I am thinking I will call Katzkin and see if they have any colors that match the Taupe and do the rear seat. I have people ride in the back very frequently and it would be nice to give them the leather treatment as well. I can live with vinyl sides and back I guess but I'd prefer leather here too. How nice is the vinyl on the Katzkin kit? The OEM vinyl isn't that bad.

Vaughn, the leather on the Katzkins seats is really nice. It feels much softer to me than the factory leather. See if Katzkins has a dealer/installer in your area. They should have color samples and you can compare them to your factory seats so you'll know ahead of time what color your getting.

It helps a little. DynaMat performs a little better than FatMat, but it is 8 times the price. This stuff is mostly used in high end car stereo installations, but it helps cut down on road noise and resonance from loud exhaust systems.

If you want to try some, look up FatMat on ebay. You can buy it all day long at a very reasonable cost. Then if you don't think it was worth it, you're not out that much.

Yeah Jeff there's a place in Seattle and Spokane, Spokane is only 140 miles but a lot more expensive for some reason.

I put some sound deadeding in my doors and back panel I bought from McMaster-Carr but was disappointed it didn't make much difference (very little that I could tell). I wish I would have coughed up the $$ to get Dynamat or something better. I went by a post on TDR someone installed the McMaster stuff and saying it worked great but I'm not seeing the same impact. I have not done the floor, dash area or roof yet so I guess the Jury's still out. I think I will just break down and put FatMat in since it's probably better, I only want to do it once. Soundstop makes good stuff too, and spendy, not as bad as Dynamat and probably more effective.
