Can someone post the procedure of the washer tab fix, tools and parts needed. I have read some posts on problems of getting the crank seal seated right. Is there anyone in the Daytona Beach area that does this fix.
Thanks RJ

Every thing you will need for the seal will come in the set. There is a plastiv slevve that aligns the seal as you put it back on the shaft. The kit has the following:
1. seal
2. seal seating ring (metal)
3. slinger ring (there want be one on the shaft when you take it apart but put it back on). Place the slinger on the shaft and slide it back past where the seal goes.
4. plastic aligning tool.

The small end of the plastic tool goes into the seal and the large end goes over the shaft so that the seal will slide over the shaft without messing up the seal. After you get the cover back on you can pull the tool right out. Piece of cake.

You can drop stuff into the oil pan when you are puting the tab over the dowel (one tab in oil pan when I did mine. ) Place rags to prevent this from happen. Don't put the speed senor back on until you get the viberatin damper back on. It can get in the way. The nut for the fan is left handed so you will have to turn it to the right to loosen it. A 1 7/16" wrench will fit the nut if you don't have the metric wrench. Put the wrench on the nut and wack it with a hammer, may have to do this a couple of times. Also you could put a wrench on the alternator nut to help hold the pulley on the fan. Take the oil fill tube off first. It comes off in two piecses and they unscrew, do not try to pry out of the cover. Then remove the fan and you can get it out of the way. Remove the belt, remove the fan pully bracket and then the viberating damper. Now you can remove the cover. The seal kit has some instructions in it so be sure to read them.
