KDP inspection

Can the killer dowel pin be looked at with a camera light placed down into the oil filler hole that leads into the gear cover to see if the pin has started to work out?

It would be to the left of the hole, too far to reach. You wouldn't know how far it's moved unless you measure it or pound it back in and remeasure.

You might possibly be able to inspect it with a fiberoptic camera???? Anybody try this?

If flush to the case it would ok wouldn't it?

If it protrudes then it has moved.

The pin sets back in some distance, not to mention the step along side the lower right portion of the hole.

I don't think you could get anything in there to look because of the limited space between gears and case/cover.

I've done two of these now and both of the pins were back in the bore but I did find loose case bolts on both trucks.
