Guys, anybody has a KDP jig in the Montreal area (and ideally the mechanic that comes with it)? Or anybody in my area that has fixed the darn thing? The closest solution so far is for me to drive 5hrs south to NH...
Hi Ron I had the kdp hammered in its hole by the Cummins Pointe-Claire people. Costed me an arm but it made me confident that the guy to whom I later sold the 1996 truck would not show up at my front door, with a truck in tow...
I would be pleased to direct you to The Mechanic, but so far I use a combination of a) selling dealer (Béliveau & Comeau in Stanstead) for touchy issues, b) local dealers (Barnabé in Napierville or Rive Sud in Brossard) for urgent service, c) Cummins Pointe-Claire for parts & engine service and myself for light bombing stuff.
The kdp kit that ships from TDR member to member is supposed to be very 'user friendly'. You might put yourself on the list and have your preferred local shop do it on a time & material basis?
For myself, I now own a second gen (2003) and kdp is non longer an issue. I'm looking to sell the 2003 and get a Megacab
