I need to locate a KDP jig that I can use, I live in California. I tried contacting the keeper of the jig who had it a few years back, but no response. Is there someone new or can I borrow one from another section of the country?

Personally I do not feel using the jig is worthwhile. It beats doing nothing at all but what I mean is pulling the front cover and tightening the bolts is almost as important as retaining the KDP IMHO.

I plan on doing the front cover so I can get to the timing cover bolts, but due to a medical restriction, the jig is the best I can do at the moment. On that note, I have read of dowel pin failures with associated damage, but have yet to see a post regarding a bolt falling out causing damage. I'm not trying to minimize it, just putting it into perspective. I for one don't want to chance the bolt issue, so will do them when I'm able to do the bolts.
