On Sat. we succesfully slayed 6 KDP's. As the drill bit stop seated each time we cheered as we went 6 for 6. We got it down to 40 minutes and were working on 2 trucks at a time. This system (jig kit) is easy and stright forward. Many Many thanks to whoever put it together. Funniest moment was when one of the participants who claimed not to have any mechanical knowledge and another who forgot his glasses watched the first truck (mine- the test truck) being done and then were observed up to their elbows in a black dualies engine compartment disassembling the front end. You should have seen the look on the owners face. After 5 trucks pizza and beer were shared by all. Darn Rob did you put locktight on that sixth trucks screw? Oh well we had a good time and maybe the start of a South Fla chapter of TDR. :D

Congrats on killing six deadly dowel pins. You have TDR member CPFF to thank for putting together these jigs.

Just an FYI: Many of the members that have been fortunate enough to use one of these jigs are sending a voluntary donation to CPFF for all of his efforts. Please PM your "jig caretaker" or myself if you would like CPFF's mailing information.

Each of us that has used the KDP jig owes CPFF a gratuity of at least $20.

That jig has saved us Hundreds if not thousands of dollars. And his research and engineering need to be rewarded handsomely

i'd say $20 is a little (if not a lot) light... ... ... i paid $150 to have mine tabbed in 1. 5 hrs by jessup (included a new front seal)... .

When I asked John (CPFF) how many folks had sent a donation he said not very many. Come on guys cough it up and send to:

I was one of the six and would like to send along special thanks , not only to CPFF, but also to Bill Gothelff for hosting the party at his shop, and to Robert Drose, who advised us through the TDR that the jig was coming to West Palm Beach. Robert is a great spirit. We each gave $25 to be sent to the appropriate recipient. I was drilling Manny's black duelly when I joked that I should have brought my glasses (I was wearing contacts). Manny's look of concern was almost as priceless as the look of relief when the drill went through, indicating that the pin was either still in the hole, or was safely in the oil pan! All in all it was a great time, new friends, and the sight of 8 Ram diesels in Bill's driveway was something to behold.

It was my understanding when I got the priveledge of using Johns creation Part of my responsibility was to send him a 25 dollar check. I would certainly hope that John has been building a nice bank account because of HIS ingenuity. I would again Like to thank John and the peaple that got the jig on my doorstep It I am sure the jig has saved me alot of grief. Lord nows if it can happen it will happen to me!! Patrick I sent my check.
