Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) KDP Washer Tabs

Going to take the truck to Southeast Power . Have the diagram for the tab, does it matter what type metal. If anyone has them I wouldn't mind getting one to supply them with one that will fit for sure. Thanks RJ

R. ebel has ready made ones for sale. You can also use a 2" wide 5/16 fender washer and grind it to fit. I used a 1" wide sawzall blade to make mine. Took only about 10 min. to make, but I have a metal chop saw, drill press and bench grinder. May take considerably longer without these tools.

RJ2, If you are making your own KDP tab, an old wore out skill saw blade will work well

What's the thickest piece of steel that you can use?

I used either 1/8 or 3/16, can't recall.

You can probably go pretty thick, but don't forget to use a longer bolt to compensate for the added thickness, and it has to be a hardened bolt.

Ok thanks guys. I wasn't sure if there was a clearance problem in there because everyone was talking about using saw blades or other "thin" pieces to make the tab.
