Well I got the the KDP tabbed this weekend but missed the dyno day. Not to bad of a project but that seal is a PITA glad I bought 2 of them, and I learned not to mess around with the oil pump broke a flange (da-ooh). Thanks to every body for the help and to Hyde for the invalueable help could not have done with out ya.

mac. :D :D

I did mine about 3 weeks ago and found the dowel had backed out about 1/16". The easiest part of the job itself was the gasket.

I used the little plastic jig that was supplied with the kit and it worked great. .

JFULMER you were not joking that seal was very trying to get into the cover, and i could not find a lake close enough to toss the shroud and fan. :D :D :D

Oh that is what you were talking about. And yes I was also looking for the lake:mad:   I ended up using a piece of hardwood that would cover the seal and set the seal from the middle and then worked around the edges. It was a major pain!!!!

What we ended up doing is something I saw on another thread, and that was using the balancer bolts to set it in worked like a charm. And after all that the pin had not moved!

mac ;)

We used jig #16 up here in New England this past Sat. No sign of pin movement on any of six trucks done with this jig. One had 170,000 miles on it.
