Keep parking lights on?

I'm a volunteer fireman and sometimes wind up tossing my truck in some weird places during calls. Understandably, I would like to leave the parking lights on without the keys in the truck. Does anybody know how to teach the truck to leave the lights on? I have tried turning them on after the truck is shut off and before the truck is shut off, but after about 10 minutes they shut off on their own. Hopefully, someone will know of a reprogramming that can accomplish this.

I don't think there's any way to subvert the time out feature. You could add your own switch though!

I too sometimes want my parking lights to be on for extended periods. There must be a way to reprogram the computer to do it.

I was just going to post this same question.

Sometimes I have to park on a curve on a busy street to pick up my son from daycare. So at night I leave the running lights on while I go in. So the first time I pull up with the ram I do the same thing. I come out and the lights are off.

i parked once and w/in few minutes park lights went out. i clicked pocket door lock clicker to lock doors and light came back on and stayed. i didnt time it but stayed on a really long time, untill i was ready to leave

I gave up on the parking lights and use the flashers (hazard lights). They are more noticable anyway.
