Dyno & Show And Shine

October 4th, 2003

Held in Paris Ky at Dotson Bros. Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep Dealership lot.



Open to all Diesel trucks.



Dyno starts at 10:00 am

$65. 00 for 3 runs on the dyno

(trophies awarded to the top HP and top TQ truck)



Show And Shine starts at 12:00 pm

Registration at 12:00 noon, judging at 2:00 pm

(trophies awarded to top Dodge, Chevy, Ford and then over all best looking truck)



Ugliest/dirtiest most banged up farm truck 12:00 pm

Registration at 12:00 noon, judging at 2:00 pm

(trophies awarded to worst 2 looking trucks)



Trophies also given to the truck with the most miles on it and also to the truck driven the most miles to the Round-up

Registration at 12:00 noon, judging at 2:00 pm



Best of the Best 4:00 pm

At 4:00 pm a brand new 2004 Dodge HO Cummins, Ford Powerstroke and a Chevy Duramax will be dyoned to see who has the most rear wheel HP and TQ, all three trucks will be trucks straight off the dealer lots.

I think Bill and I are heading out around 7:00 AM, I'm going to stop on the other side of Louisville and get some grub before heading to Paris.

How far on the other side of Louisville are you wanting to stop, we could all meet up and follow, do you know if anyone else is going from In.
 
Not sure where we will stop yet, I'll talk with Bill and see what he wants to do and get back to ya.



I figured on stopping at the first exit outside of Louisville with a Cracker Barrel or Bob Evans. :)

Jesse, we are going to stop at the Cracker Barrel at the Blankenbaker exit off I-64. It's exit # 17 and the Cracker Barrel is on the right side of the Express way on the frontage road. Bill and I are going to be there about 7:30AM (fast time) to make sure we have plenty of time to get to Paris for the dyno day. :)

Results

Does anybody have the numbers for the trucks that dynoed along with the 04 results? Interested to see who did what.

The Stock '04 Shootout did not happen due to one of the dealers deciding that they didn't want the liability of the truck should it shoot off the dyno. Funny thing how 37 other trucks signed off and were not scared.



For what it's worth, my '03 Dodge RAM 2500 H/O & six speed (7,100 miles) only had an EDGE on level 3, a Flowmaster Delta 50 Series muffler, and stock airbox. It cranked out 311 horsepower and 603 pound-feet of torque. This afternoon I added the brass boost elbow and set the EDGE on level 4. Woke it up even more, although the throttle is a little twitchier than I like. Hopefully I'll get used to it soon.
