I know that our trucks will burn Kerosene but... I put 8 gallons of Kero in with a mixture of the rest (full tank) being Diesel. Drove about 200 miles and then filled back up with Diesel. Not the best mpg I got, but any other side effects I should be looking for? How will my pump handle that? Should the motor be any louder?

I've been wondering this. Someone told me it would have more power on Kero. The manual says its OK.

Hello Guys

Kero in a small amount was used in the past as an anti-gel for winter use. With winterized fuel AND good over the counter antigel/lubricant, you will be better off for the lubricating properties.
I use Howes lubricant/anti gel.
By the way... I haven't deserted y'all... just moved over to moderate the 12v engine forum. I'll continue to drop on over to help.

I didn't think it would hurt the motor since the manual does say we could use it. I also assumed that I would be set to drive to the artic if someone needed something up there with the 9 gallons of Kero in the tank... LOL

Thanks.
