Key fob stopped working

Both of our key fobs suddenly stopped working. I changed the battery in one but it still didn't unlock any door.
The door was locked from the button inside as I usually do. I will try unlocking the door with the key tomorrow and see if it will start or not, didn't want to try that tonight since the last time I unlocked it with that key it set off the alarm. Any suggestions on what to check?

Larry, unusual for both to stop working at the same time. There should be codes in the WCM, and may have one in the ECM, but an inexpensive scanner can't pull them in the WCM. If the batteries are dead, push the Go button with the end of the fob and it should start. Try both ends of the fob if the first end doesn't work.

Thanks Stan. Today I went out with the key fob, touched the door handle and it unlocked. I started the truck as normal and all is working fine. I guess I will have to add this to the list of idiosyncrasies of this truck.

Larry, are you at home or on the road? If your not at home, there are some locations where RFI can mess with the frequency the fob's use.

I am not at home, and started to wonder about that. There have been several incidents of various things like the key fob to the motorhome door not always working. Good thing I keep a key for it in my pocket. Yesterday the TV sound bar had weird sounds coming out of it and the TV hasn't been on.
