On my 2000 , both key fobs have started requiring pushing the unlocking button twice to get the doors to unlock. The first push turns on the OH interior lights, and then the 2nd push unlocks the doors.

I have changed the programming per the manual so that the doors do not automatically door 2 18 mph or whatever it is.

Is this a signal that I need to replace the batteries in the key fobs?

Can't remember ever replacing them? Or hopefully not something more serious???

On mine, which is a 01. 5, I can program it so the first push of the button opens only the drivers door and the second push opens the passenger door, or it can be set to open both with one push. If your lights are coming on when you push once you may be opening the drivers door only and the second push unlocks the passenger door. I don't think it has anything to do with the rolling lock, that should be independant of the opening sequence.

I was wondering where you can get additional key fobs? I only have one and want to get one for my wife. Do you go to the dealer? or is there a company you can buy them? Thanks Rick

Hey, I have located some replacement KEY FOBS for my truck. Which number do you need to match to find out if it is compatible with your truck. Is it the part # or the FCC# or both? thanks

I got additonal ones for cheap on eBay. Now I have four working fobs, I think that's the max allowed for one vehicle.

Big iron, the ones you got off ebay, did you match the part# and fcc# exactly, or do you only have to match one or the other??
