I am looking for the most logical key on power source for an 06' I know I can piggyback in the fuse panel but i am not interested in that. this is one thing ferd does well.

Buy and install an aftermarket auxilliary fuse panel from Geno's. Many TDR members have done this as soon as they bought their trucks. The aux fuse panels are easy to install, a quality product, and offer seven additional power sources both switched and always hot.

I am with Harvey, get the remote fuse block and relay center from Geno's. I also have an 06 and there are no spare circuits or wires to get power from easily. I have had the center and lower dash opened up and is nothing, nada to get hooked onto.

The Mopar aftermarket kits such as the rear dvd player, interior lighting kits and I think even the heated seat kit have an overlay harness that connects to the plugs for the accessory or cigar lighter in the center dash so that tells me even Mopar had a hard time finding a power source.

If you don't want to add the wiring block and you are looking at a low draw circuit then you could go to the dealer and see if they can get you the two plugs and wire ends that are part of that overlay harness. Then you could safely use either of those two existing power sources in the center dash.

It will take someone at the dealership that will do a little digging for you. I'm sure that the components are available if that is a route that you want to pursue. If it is anything like the Delphi and Packard connectors that we use it will be a cheap, correct way to get power there.

Mike. :)
