Keyless Entry Problems

My keyless entry is not locking the drivers front door. It locks all other doors, and set the horn, but the driver door stays unlocked. If you manually lock the door, it will not unlock with the key fob, but all other doors will unlock. Anyone else had this problem... TIA... Scott

Had that same problem with the rear door on the driver's side on my '05. I took it back in and found out that the solenoid in the door wasn't going through its full motion. Replaced that under warranty and no problems since.

This can also happen if someone tried to slim jim the lock and damaged inside. had that happen to my 98

I have the same problem but my driver door doesnt unlock at all it just stays locked. All the other three unlock and lock but the driver door doesnt. I cycled the ignition and it gave me an error code, Im at work right now but Ill put the code in a few when I go on break. Hopefully no one tried to slim jim it, the dealer is going to take a look at it on wednesday, Im hoping its got something to do with the alarm.

the error code I got was a P0573, anybody know what this code means, Im going to try to look it up.

Most likely you will need a new door lock assy,have been seeing a run of these lately on the 3rd gens

Drop the truck off @ the dealer this morning, they called later to say that they had to order a soleniod. They said that it would be in Teusday morning and would have it back in the afternoon. Thank goodness for the Business Link Program. They gave me a NEW '05 w/300 miles on it to drive. With a full tank to boot. Gotta love free fuel

Picked the trick up this afternoon, locks all work fine, and got my Sirrus installed at the same time, as it came in on the same truck. Just got to straighten out my Gauge pillar, they reinstalled it bad... . Scott

GREAT, hopefully they dont mess my pillar up. I just dropped off my truck this morning and advised them of my door, then I showed them my weather trim around the door so they can replace it AGAIN. The first one I got at 3,500 miles second one today at 8,600 miles. I advised the service advisor about the error code I got and he kind of got tweaked, he said why am I checking for codes and stuff. I said its my truck I can check for codes if I want to. He said hes going to have one his guys look at the door and someone to check the error code. Ill let you guys know what happens.

good to hear you got your truck back working properly, but i kind of would like my driver door not to lock, it looks really cool when you open the door from the passenger side, kind of ghetto if you ask me. :-laf mine stayed locked the whole time.

When the door latch fails,many times it binds up completely and won't open from the outside at all.

got my truck back on wednesday had to take it back thrusday morning, they fixed everything, except my door handle wasnt going all the way back. They finally just replaced it with a new one. The also said that my error code of

P 0573 was caused by my trailer brake controller, I told them how can that be when I wasnt towing when the code came up, he didnt say anything after that. Im just happy I can finally get in the drivers door again.
