Does anyone know how to get more distance out of the keyless entry? My daughter's remotes on her '03 have no distance. The other 4 trucks have at least 100ft, even my wife's Duramax :-{}(haven't converted her yet). We replaced the batteries in both transmitters, but no luck. If she's lucky she might be able to get 15ft. Nomally, that doesn't seem like a big deal, but someone tried to break in to the house she was watching and the Panic button didn't work on the truck. At that point you look for anyway to make noise. Any ideas?

That's what I was thinking . I would try another set of batteries .

I would also get my daughter a big gun to blast right through the door --12 gage shotgun or maybe a . 357mag I think that would deter even the most determined from breaking in. :D

My 06 has a very short range as well. I think it is normal for the Dodges. If you do find a way to increase the range, please let us know.

As far as the 12Ga and the . 357, that has been taken care of. Thanks for the support. The range factor is still and issue, I need to correct the distance, it's max range is only 10ft. The other 4 Dodges in our family have a range of close to 100ft, some farther.

You might try to see where the rcvr ant. is and try moving it a bit. I have a Bulldog 500 series and it can unlock/lock/remote start for at least 4 blocks away with a clear path.

I have an old trick that has worked on every remote I have owned. All you do is put the bottom of the remote, the part with buttons, up against the bottom of your chin at a 90 degree angle. Then hit the button. I think what happens is that your body is used like a big antenna. I can get my remote to work across an entire parking lot. I work at a Lowes and I can stand at the front door and chirp my horn at the end of the parking lot where the employees park. I have a Benz and a BMW and it works on those as well. Hope this works for you as well.
