2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Keyless Entry........

Just out of curiousity... Is the keyless entry systems on the 99's SLT's and option? I have the electric door and windows... ... ... According to the owners manual it comes across as being standard equipment? My dad has the same truck..... except his is a 3/4 ton... . mine is a 1 ton... ... ... He has the keyless entry..... I bought the truck used truck dealer so it is possible the previous owner did not hand over the keyless entry remotes... ..... Any comments welcome. Thanks. .

go to your dealer and they can run a build sheet from your vin that tells you everything you've got.

I had the same problem. I even found the receiver up under the dash but the truck came with no remote. My buddy who works at the stealer said they can order a remote and program it to my truck.

What does the receiver look like... ..... What do I look for???

Stick yopur head down by the gas (?) pedal and look straight up.

It is a 3"x4" box labeled "TRW remote entry receiver"

I have same scenario. Bought used, no remote. New remote from dealer $79. 00. Whole system installed at local Circuit City(Electronics Store) $59-$65



Go Figure... I have done neither. I don't really think I'll like have'n that big remote in my pocket. I tote a total 3 keys now and they are plenty... .
