2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Keyless Remote

My 94 2500 has power locks, but does not have the keyless remote.

Is it possible to retrieve the parts to retrofit this feature from a salvage truck or maybe new parts? Has anyone tackled this project and care to share their experience?

Look into an aftermarket alarm system. Typically the fob will have extra buttons for this and you can wire it into your power locks. Two birds...

You can buy a remote for the vehicle from e-bay and program it. There are instructions for programming the remote on the internet, I purchased two for my 2002 and they work great.

I would think there needs to be a receiver end installed in the truck, first… ?

I found a remote wireless entry kit from Mopar for my '98. Two fobs, the receiver and instructions. Works great! Check with some of the older smaller dealerships.
