Is there any way to disable to panic button on the keyless remotes? I'm tired of reaching into my pocket and accidentally activating the panic function. For some reason I need to stand slightly to the east, on one leg while reciting the pledge of allegiance while pushing who knows what combination of buttons to get the thing to shut off. I've looked like a fool one to many times with this thing and I'm ready to leave the keyless remotes at the house.

Thanks,

Just be glad your's doesn't require you to sacrifice a virgin... ... ... ..... they're gettin' real hard to find now-a-days;)

I'm glad you asked that question

This works great simple easy fix. This was not my idea, But it was from another TDR Member

Open your remote and place a small piece of plastic (credit card thickness) between the panic button and the circuit board. Close remote

POOF All gone :)

want the option back  remove the plastic chip ;)

that was too easy

Can't believe I didn't think of that. I just used a small piece of scotch tape over the contact and it's all fixed :).

Thanks,

I've done this to my 01 ram keyless entry remote. I just opened up the remote and put a few small pieces of electrical tape over the contact on the little circuit board. Now the panic button does not work so i dont have to worry about accidentally pressing it.

LMAO:D

Thanks for the tips guys, this has happened to me more than once. Man this group is great!

It ain't the panic button I'm worried about pressing, it's the door unlock button that scares me, I don't want to accidentally unlock the truck without knowing it, I occasionally have a few things of value in there. So, I have a bit of length (4") between the remote and the keys, in the form of a key chain, and carry my keys with the remote hanging outside my pocket. In the winter, I simply use my jacket pocket.
