I love to eat animals as much as the next meat eater. I love to hunt and fish and eat tasty animals! That being said, I dont accept torturing animals. I am not saying KFC does or does not do that, but if they do in fact scald them alive, I cannot accept that. Thats just not cool.

PETA-----> Largest terrorist organization INSIDE the U. S.

After working for a poultry company for three years I can say the birds are put feet first on a overhead conveyer and the first step is sliting the throat then into the boiling water then the defeather then to the gutter. So by the time they hit the water they are dead!

Wonder what PETA's take is on Fear Factor? All those poor defenseless bugs being eaten alive. :{

I heard (probably a rumor... ) that the reason KFC is now called KFC (initials only) is because they cannot be called Kentucky Fried CHICKEN . These birds have been so genetically modifed that (biologically) they are no longer considered chickens! Ergo, the term 'chicken' can no longer be used in the company's title :eek:

It was indeed distancing themselves from 'Fried', but it was less about 'not upsetting the health nuts' as convincing the average American - who'd been learning how all that frying makes them fat - to buy their products.

I am no fan of PETA (though they are welcome to protest against fur with naked supermodels ANY time they want), but neither am I in favor of animal torture.

Go figure out how many chicken farms KFC actually has and let PETA and me know.

I actually know where a lot of KFC's chicken comes from. They don't even cook it in the stores anymore.

Back in 1974, my wife worked part time in a KFC when they actually cooked the chicken on-site. It was much tastier than it is today too!

It was my understanding they changed because the great state of Kentucky, wanted money for their name.

I like the bottom of that page-- The idiot burning himself as he torches our flag and the letter from the US pilot.

Chicken is nothing special-- It tastes just like chicken.
