Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
Man what a fiasco. First off I bought the kit from TST thinking I was just to lazy to make my own tab. Removed radiator just cause. Removed fan and found one broken bolt, had to easy out it. None of this took to long but once I got the cover off I found that my gear housing is not smooth accross like the one one the TST instruction photo. Mine is stepped up. So on to TDR for more searching: I learned some if not all first gen covers are different from second gens. Any one know what year this changed?? Any way, now this stupid tab I bought wont work without modification. So mod it I do, and promptly destroy it in the process. I made my own step up tab from light gauge steel.
Wish I had saved my money and just bought a front cover seal. My KDP had walked about half the distance of the step up. I pounded it back in and staked it, followed by some green sleave sealer. Checked all the bolts I could get to, cleaned and locktited. Glad I did this today before it was to late. Thanks to everyone on this site that help others and share their experiences for the rest of us to learn from.
