Killer Dowel Pin [help ]

I just bought a 94 slt reg cab a month ago 104000 miles. Just found out about the KILLER DOWEL PIN makes me sqirm every time I drive the thing!!!!! Whats the best way to handle this time bomb???

There are two ways to fix it: the jig and tab methods. Do a search using kdp* to see all the theads about this. The following thread describes both methods:

Thanks,Joe. G did a lot of reading,seems this is old hash to a lot of guys that aready fixed theres. [Has the jig collecting dust in there garge] CPFF really went the extra mile for everybody. I'am sure he get's a bunch of e-mail asking for more... more... more and is sick of it!!!! I just wish somebody would post the measurements for the jig. This isn't rocket science does any body have block lying on the ground with the timing cover off.
