Just heard this today... . apparently Kimber is done with the shotgun and small caliber (. 22, etc) rifle market.
"Word on the street"--and probably justifiably so--is Kimber couldn't compete with the $750-800 price point for the little rifles because Anschutz owns the market for only $150 or so more... .
As far as shotguns go, they were made in Turkey by the same outfit who builds the CZ shotguns... .
Top of the line CZ -- $1,000
Top of the line Kimber -- $7,700
Same plant... . same reliability... you do the math.
Perhaps they should've just stuck to being pistolsmiths in the first place... ???... ???... .
