now if we all were to discover that Dr. P has a front company in England selling a stealth box that we all bought into, we would likely think he did something smart

Since we know that is not true, it seems doubtful that his attempt to isolate his personality from his customers via a distributor network will likely not be as effective as he might like.

On the otherhand, remember that there are still a whole ton of folks who don't know about the TDR (and it's resources) and are very impressed by Dr. P's products.

Get me some folks here who speak about successful warranty payouts from Dr. P and I would be happy to listen. Remember a recent thread about DC vs Warranty restriction vs Banks' claims to fight those?? Results speak much louder than claims and boasts.

This thread answered one of my questions. Why would anyone add a bunch of "boxes" to their engine when the logical thing to do is reprogram the ECM? I guess DC is enforcing their copyright on the ECM software

Shawn, maybe you are right. I apologize again for making my post so commercial. I doubt that another 20 posts of he said/she said will resolve much. I am sorry about those of you who had a bad experience in the past, and I am sure you are totally justified.

All I can say is anyone coming to us will be treated with respect, and will be given a warranty in writing, which we will honor if there is a problem.

I have a good friend that has the stage 3 in his 96 2wd 5 speed truck. I can say this he doesn't smoke, his milage was better than mine by 2 MPG up until I decatted and RE-0880 now I get alittle better. His truck was faster than mine with the #12 plate in the stock position, but he wouldn't even run me after I moved mine forward and he was riding with me the other day and he was blown away with the mine now with the #11 plate in half way forward. I could almost buy the HX40 turbo and put in the #10 plate and 370 injectors for what he has into his. Mark @ TST is my doctor.

One question on warrantees: I will assume (and we all know what happens when we assume) that the warrantee referances are to engine and not drivetrain. (We are our own warrantee stations in that regard) So, has any one of you megabombers gone too far and managed to destroy one of these beautifully overdesigned engines yet?

I was told that Doc holed all six once. Likely to much propane. I did see one broken crank yesterday at Cummins, it was the first one they had seen. I don't think it was off a hot rod truck though. It looked strange like it had a crack then the balance broke away. These lower ends don't seem to be coming apart which is why some of us are getting away with extreme mods.
