Competition Is head porting right for me?????

Yesterday was the last race that I plan on attending this year. There maybe a couple more testing sessions, but that's it for racing this year.

I raced at Redding yesterday, for their "King of the Track" race. I won the Sportsman class, and then runnered up in the King of the Track race. Not a bad way to end a season. For those that don't know, the King of the Track race, takes the winners from each of the classes (Sportsman, Pro, SuperPro, and High School), and then they race. I ended up in the finals with a SuperPro car. Screwed up and lost that one.

It was also the first time that I had run my pickup on 5x5 on the comp, in a race. I was still leaving with 14psi boost, and my quickest was a 12. 76@105 mph. This is the quickest I have run yet. Pickup felt really good at that power level. The fact that I could run consistently enough to win Sportsman makes me believe that it is very raceable at this level. Not bad for a single turbo, with Mach 4's, and a Drag Comp! Oo.

This has been a really fun race season, and I am sad to see it end. Now to start making mods for next season!

In the last 3 months I have won more then 70% of the races that I have raced in, including two Wally's. Not bad for a stinkin old farm truck! :-laf

Hey Paul, that is incredible sir! It's nice to hear about your accomplishments and its incredible to have a diesel out there in the masses and winning to boot! I have been reading the North America Bracket results pages to see if they list you. Have I missed it?

paul- That's really cool. Beat out them race cars on the weekends as they stand there in disbelief watching a diesel powered truck:eek: put them on the trailer one by one..... heh heh great job!:D

...

Ken Imler dyno day is Oct 29th with races afterwards at Sac raceway. . can you make it ONE more time for this?I'd like to have a crack at that old 02' on the strip :D Good job! that's quick for what you have into the truck!

Great Job Paul!! You remind me of myself at sac raceway... they handed me a broom for the clean up crew and said quit ******* off all the racers. It is fun when you go to the track, get in the lane and people move to get out of the lane your in!

Keep up the great racing!!!

I race in mostly division 6, and some in division 7. Not all the tracks are good about sending in the results to NHRA, for National Dragster... . Here are some links with results if you are interested...

Redding dragstrip

That one has a couple of pics of my truck. One in the winners circle receiving on e of the Wallys, and another of a launch during the race.

Mission, BC

Results from a NHRDA race in Mission, BC

NHRDA

Look under the "Events" section to see the different round wins along with E. T. 's

Hope this helps...

Bow down to “King Paul” We're so proud of your accomplishments and visibility you bring helping to facilitate our journey into the NHRA. Your participative divisional competitiveness exemplifies the core competencies needed to successfully victor these drag racing events. WAY-2-GO “KP”

Congrats once again Paul! I'm glad to see that even with your truck 'stepped up" you and it are that consistent. One Wally was great, two is outstanding! I heard you runnered-up for a third, right? You do indeed represent the diesel community very well, and I would dare to say are probably the best racer amongst us.

Now, knock it off so I have a shot at catching you... :p :D

Thats got to be a great feeling doing that... . :)

Congrats dude !

Four? Now that's just showing off... :p

It's funny, a guy came out to give a painting bid down here in Central Oregon. He drove up in a Cummins, so naturally the conversation went down that road. He was telling me about being in Redding recently, and seeing a mid-12's Dodge. He said it was most impressive that it didn't seem like anything special while staging, and then WOW! I said, "I think I know that guy. " lol!

BTW, as far as your pic with the caption "Can you do this with your 12 second race car?" I like it! As a matter of fact, the Pavement Princess was hauling a load of nasty old wood not two days ago. These race horses can pull a plow with the best of 'em!

"Can you do that with your 11 second race car?" :-laf

Great job Paul - takes us Oregonians to bring home the gold eh?

Sure wish I coud make the Imler dyno day - haven't been on the mill since the injectors and exhaust...

Another pic of Paul and truck:

:-laf I liked the pic too. My brother made it up...

Redding is kinda fun. They will let you race in more then one class with one vehicle. I could race both Pro and Sportsman on the same day. Oo. The announcer at the track keep saying "You guys are not going to believe this", everytime I would stage. :D
