Wind : Rectangle to Parallelogram

Not trying to start a travel trailer brand war,

but I am currently looking at two travel trailers and could use some more input. Both trailers are about 30 ft long with 16 ft slides and pretty much the same extras. The KIT is a well taken care of 1996, and the Mobile scout is a 2001 also great condition. The KIT is $10,500 and the Moble Scout is $13,500. I like them both. I have learned a lot about the KIT from my other post, but what about the Mobile scout? It sounds like a very good deal from looking at the NADA website.

I always use NADA Guides when pricing RV's. They give you an idea what there worth used. This is also nice when looking at new ones, you can see what there worth 1 year old and see how one will hold its value while others loose 1/3 there value in the first year.

Also check out NHTSA. (site was down when I typed this). They have a place you can look up recalls on RV's as well.

Never heard of a Mobile Scout, but the Kit units I've seen are well built units. They seem to be a little better than average.

Mobile Scout is the same as Sunnybrook. It just depends on the geographical areas where they are sold. The Sunnybrooks are generally well-regarded by those who have them.

From what little info you have given, the Kit seems to be over retail book while the 'Scout is at wholesale book. Did someone die in 'Scout and was not found for a couple of weeks? If the 3000 bucks is not putting you in a bind, I would buy the trailer that is 5 years newer. Mi dos pesos... ... ... ... ... .....

Barry,
As far as I know there is not anything wrong with the Scout. I am leaning towards the Scout. My main concern is the quality comparison of the two types.
I am sure the newer Scout would be worth the price from what I have seen for sale on the internet and from the NADA. Thanks.
