Hi there, Iam Nick from the UK, I have a 2001 Ram 3500 2wd dually,(which are very rare over here). Its developed knocking which is at most speeds more at around 35 to 50 mph. The knocking occurs more with less fuel in the tank . When there is wet weather the knocking is a little better. The knocking comes through the floor under your feet. I have replaced the upper and lower ball joints, and checked 1. anti rollbar bushes and links. 2,the upper and lower A arms and bushes. 3. shock absorbers and bushes (which i am told should be secured very tightly) 4. body mounts. If anyone can help it would great as it is very frustrating.
Don't have a 3500 but have had that knocking noise thru floorboards before. It was my center carrier bearing on the rear drive shaft. Not too hard to replace.
