Oo. DOES ANYONE HAVE THE SINGLE STEPS,HOW DO THEY MOUNT. GENOS HAS THEM FOR $199 SINGLE SIDE OR $369 FOR BOTH SIDES RATED 350LBS. JUET WONDERING ABOUT INSTALL,DID NOT WANT THEM MOUNTED TO BODY. ALSO LOOKING AT ROMIK SIDESTEP STAINLESS STEEL. THANKS

The Kodiaks on my '95 mount to the body. Never have had problem with strength, those babies are STRONG.

Like Scott said, they mount to the body by drilling holes through the pinch seam and then two more in the bottom pan of the floor. It's a good rigid set up. I have them on a '98 and an '04. My only problem with them is they collect mud on top of the step, even with mud flaps on the fronts. I do like them though.

I'm thinking of going with them myself. Talked to Kodiak the other day about the mounting, I was concerned about the body flexing too much. Kodiak said they have never had the body be a week point. They did say the pivot bars have broken with big dudes pulling on the steering wheel. Apearently puts too much stress inward. They didn't state whether it was th 8" or 12" version.
