Was thinkin' of runnin' bfg A/T 37x12. 5's for my next set of tires. Have any of you guys put em on your rigs w/o getting fiberglass fenders? I've already trimmed mine a little becuase of getting rims w/an inch different backspacing than stock but wanted to see how much (if any) more sawzall work would be needed. thanks

After seeing Gregs truck w 37s with the glass... ... ... ... I would say get the sawsall going and don't stop for a couple of blades :-laf :-laf

It SUCKS the Kore's super dupper ultimate $4,000+ race suspension only comes in a... . 2. 5" lift :( :(

I bet they would almost double their profit's if they'd make a larger size lift for the people who are more into mall crawlin then high flyin desert racing. Sure 2. 5 is awsome for racing it just sucks when you want to show off with tires larger the 35's but still have an awsome ride.

AGREED!

Look at my pics too. The 35's won't rub the fenders, except maybe slightly. I had 300lbs hanging out front, that helped, too. This was with Eagle 101's with 4. 5 inch backspacing. We put them on a stock 03, and they rubbed the lower rear corner ever so slightly. Some tweakage was necessary.

KORE is a suspension, not a lift kit. It serves a purpose, does mall cruising serve a purpose? Just ribbin ya.

Even 35's will rub the control arms :) I say big deal :-laf I don't do a lot of high speed driving at full lock... ... ... ... I prefer the shiny side up :D

Nice trucks, that's the exact pic I was lookin' for Lance. thanks. I was thinkin I might have to get that Pro-comp lift w/the 6" coil spacers and blocks for the rear  , nah.

Gents,

It's on the way. But it won't be for mall-crawling.

Last month I visited the Big Island. We off-roaded around Kona and Hilo. Hawaiian terrain is serious. The surface is all volcanic - big, rocky outcroppings, step-downs and step-ups, terrain so uneven that it will rip off your bumpers unless you have enough chassis clearance. It was very different from Baja. No matter how sophisticated the suspension, there was just no way you could drive fast over the stuff, despite the fact that these were legitimate roads.

I'm practical; I've always believed that form should be a product of function, so I've resisted the temptation to develop a cosmetic lift. But this experience in Hawaii convinced me that there are some legitimate purposes for increased chassis height. And that there are probably other places in the country where people need more body clearance to get the job done. Fording streams or crossing muddy terrain are examples. We get requests for kits that offer more lift every day. There are a lot of people who want to go four to six inches over stock, but with high-end components like reservoir shocks and full leaf packs - kits that offer the best ride possible and more wheel travel than the standard lift kit.

So, believe it or not, KORE is developing something new - a performance lift.

It should be available in March.

I vote for a long arm setup, similar to the cepek kit for the 2nd gens. It also avoids those crappy control arm relocating brackets on the axle.

good to hear kore is comming out with a bigger clearance lift. i wonder if it will be more expensive than the race system? if it is any more it will be priced right out of my pocket. it took every penny and going a year without a truck to get my new megacab.

Good News to Read

Been gone from the sight for a little while and get back and see that KORE is coming out with a performance lift that is more than 2. 5". I must say that I am stoked. I wanted one of their kits, but need more chassis clearance for mud and rutted out trails that are everywhere we are trying to go off-road and with our ATV's.

Will also be saving my money, and very excited to see something this wonderful coming out.

GREAT JOB KORE PERFORMANCE :-laf
