So I just got my Kore put on a week ago with 35x12. 50 PJ dirt grips and am loving it. This past weekend, I went from Memphis, TN to Gulfport, MS and back. Having done this trip about 30 times prior, I figured I'd give a brief 2 cents on how it performed.
If anyone's been in MS, you know their interstates are good, but the MS highways are riddled with uneven lanes, bumps, ridges, dips, etc. No flames please, but I drive pretty fast if it's clear lanes. Previously it was not uncommon for me to run 90-105 for the trip if totally dry and no traffic. Stock, the truck did great, it was like riding in a caddy at high speeds, with the only complaint being the rebound on the dips. Never dangerous, but just not comfy.
I'm not an idiot however, so with the Kore and big tires I averageda bout 70-80mph for the trip, and less during the rain/thunder/tornado weather. Twice I may have gotten up to 90 to pass on way down when was dry and clear, but even at that speed the truck handled like stock, and on the dips even better. Surprised the crud out of me, but it was like I would hit the dip and the truck would just instantly recover and keep floating over the road. Very impressive.
The storm:
I went through some major wind and tornado weather on the way back. This is where the lift falters, but there's no way around it. I had to slow down to about 60 while a couple stock trucks passed me doing 70, because the wind was so fierce it was literally blowing me off the road. Being higher up is just something you have to deal with though, nothing wrong with the lift. This fierce jostle lasted about 3 minutes, and then I could resume my 70mph in the rain.
Overall, I make this trip a lot and was worried about what it was like on the interstate, but I am very very pleased. My only real complaint "post-Kore" is the gearing because the 3. 73's and 35's hurt when you're going 70+mph, but my truck is in the shop and 4. 10's & an LSD are being put in as I type this.
I've had several lifted trucks, and there is just no comparison to the way this one rides. Other lifts are made to be a suspension lift that looks sweet. Kore is made to perform like or better than stock. $2K+ & worth every penny.
Hope this helps for anyone considering it. If you don't care about the ride, don't spend the money on Kore, but if the thing keeping you away from a lift kit is the cr*ppy bumpy ride... be afraid no more my child.
The dirt grips took a little beating, I'd say they lost 1 or 2 mm of tread on the trip.
