Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
Fixed my KPD today. Took the front cover off to do the work and tabbed the pin. It was out 1/8" and not moving at all. Took a punch and a 2 lb hammer and ten minutes of pounding to drive it back in . Didn't break into coolant system and left the fan shroud on. One blow from the harley speed wrench and the fan nut came loose.
I would have never known about this problem without this site.
