The temp sensor for the KSB solenoid has three pins. One is 12 volts and one goes to the KSB solenoid. Anyone know where the other wire goes to? My sensor is bad and in troubleshooting the sensor I realized it had three pins. Just wondering where the other goes? Does anyone have a source for an aftermarket sensor for replacment? If not I will have to drive 60 miles on Friday to get one as my local dealer does not stock it. :(

I really suck at electrical stuff but I think you're referring to the center wire on the TPS... that is the one that tells the transmission to shift up or down for OD... I have never followed that wire to "the other end" myself.

pb...

No not on the TPS, I have a 5 speed so I don't have a TPS. It is the third pin on the KSB temp sensor on top of the intake. Just a gee-whiz question anyway but I haven't gotten a good repair manuel for my truck yet so I was hoping someone had a wiring diagram to take a quick look at.

The FSM shows 2 wires on the ksb temp sensor, one 12 volt supply from the fuel solenoid, the other is 12 volt to the KSB solenoid. Are you sure you're looking at the right sensor? Top of the intake plenum nearest to the fire wall? Maybe the sensor is 3 pin but the wire bundle has 2 wires in it?

I think you are right,I took a better look at it and it does appear to only have two wires. Oh well I will just drive over Friday and get the replacement sensor to replace my bad sensor. Thanks anyway.
