Jus' wonderin' what kind of boost #'s you guys w/ aftermarket turbos are pullin'? And what are these turbo's are capable of? Maximum PSI?

It seems you can run the stock turbo pretty high, but bear in mind boost above mid-upper 30s is probably pointless because it's out of its efficiency map and creating tons of heat and not giving you any more power (or EGT control).



Another thing to remember, if aftermarket Turbo A gives you X boost and Turbo B gives you X +5lbs boost it doesn't necessarily mean you have more HP capability with Turbo B. Bigger turbos tend to have less max boost given equal fueling.

My turbo is a KSB1 built by Kenny out of AZ. I bought it thru Diesel Performance Unlimited in Pasco, WA. No, I have not o-ringed the head, yet.

May be a stupid question, but what is the reason for 'o ringing' the head?

Thanks Blake for the quick response. I'm starting to gather info on what turbo to put on 03 ram . One of my next move is put a set injectors, a pusher pump a new clutch and a upgrade turbo. I have gauges ,bully dog fueling box , stacks , afe mega cannon. Any suggestion would be helpful thanks rhino50

I'm sure you can get most of what you want from DD, and from what everybody says their products are top notch. Got all my upgrades from DPU. IMHO they have the best turbos and injectors when compared to the competition. I ordered a FAAS for my '04 2-6-04, not to sure about a pusher pump.

Max boost

I have a SO 2003 with Diesel Performance unlimited injectors. I have tried every box out there and am disapointed in them all, but with the Quad box and my KSB1 I have hit 54 pounds of boost.
