I received the following letter this morning. A huge thank you goes out to John Strenkowski and all of the rest of you who help each other out:

Robert:
just wanted to take a second and let you know about an outstanding member of the TDR. recently my vacuum pump seal started leaking on my '97 truck.
After pulling apart the assembly, and reading the posts on the website, I headed to the seal house. No luck. even though I live in the fourth largest city in the Nation, they would have to order the seal. (and they didn't seem very happy about that) I explained how important it was that I had the seal by Tuesday. unfortunately, I no longer trust 18 year olds behind the counters to understand what I was saying. after returning home I found a post by John Strenkowski stating that he also sold the seal. I
e-mailed John and asked him if he would sell me a seal, but I needed it overnighted to me so I could have it by Tuesday. ( I have a car race this weekend and the Dodge is my tow vehicle. ) John called me at work yesterday to say that he was headed to the UPS office and would drop the seal in an overnight letter envelope.
Turns out, he has to drive about 20 miles to the UPS office. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
John doesn't know me from Adam, but was willing to drive out of his way to help me with my plight. later he e-mailed me the tracking number. it's nice to belong to an organization with such helpful members.

John, a TDR cap and some stickers are being sent to you today as a small thank you for this gesture of kindness.
