Just ordered and installed one of Timbom's replacement APPS units. Install was easy and it works like a charm. Got rid of all the surge at 70mph and has really smoothed out highway driving. At $160 is better than factory $350.

Are you saying it smoothed out cruise control surge or did you just have a surge at 70mph? I will eventually get one just curious.

Surge

My truck has been surging around 70MPH for months. No cruise, just with my foot on the pedal. I could feel it, hear the turbo speed up and slow down and watch the tach fluctuate. I could pump the pedal rapidly several times and it would quit but always came back I assume as the contacts got dirty again. Now there's no surge and it's smooth as silk on the highway.

Installed the APPS replacement from TDR member Timbo on sat, 350 miles on Sun without a hickup. A great fix and even better service!
-Kudos to Gary, Tim, and all who remained on point and gave us BETTER options at 1/3 the price. OEM locally was $561, including the bell crank assembly…. ouch! JJ
