The slowest part of installing and removing my PE EZ is the Boost Elbow. Plus having removed the oem hose clamp from the boost elbow shows that it has been tampered with. .

Easy soultion: Buy a small pair of visegrips and wrap the jaws with black tape and just clamp your oem boost hose in the middle. Just tighten it enough to stop the boost pressure from reaching the waste gate. . When you need to remove it you can do it in 5 seconds. Be sure to remove it or your boost elbow before the "Box" to keep from setting a overboost code. This only works on hose type waste gates.

I can't believe it - I just thought of this myself about 3 hours ago - actually stopped at Autozone and bought a pair of 5" visegrips just for this.

I guess what they say is true - Great minds do think alike! #ad

Just so someone doesn't beat me to the punch...

They make a little clamp for crimping off vacuum hose when doing testing on gassers...

And since "I AM MY OWN R&D STATION" I should probably get one #ad
Then I can put the vise grips back on my window crank.

That is the last time someone will be able to call me a "REDNECK"

O Yeah does anyone know where to buy the chrome girls to go on my "TRUCKER SIZED" mud flaps... . Just be sure they don't block the view of my RED L. E. D. rotating light license plate bracket or "I BRAKE FOR BUDWEISER" Bumper sticker. . #ad

I'll look tonight, but the clamp appears to be an "oiteco" clamp, either TrueChoice or RacerWholesale, THEY ALSO SELL THE PLIERS TO CRIMP THEM.

I'll check it out tonight and repost.

Max,

Are you referring to the stock clamp?

The reason I wanted to use the vise grips is to be able to let other try out the EZ without having to install the elbow - makes it much easier - not to try keep MY truck looking stock for warranty work, but to keep others that are just trying the box looking stock and not tampered with.

I was refering to a small adjustable clamp that you can easily put on and off. .

As for Hiding Bombing... I AM MY OWN WARRANTY STATION... . If There is a power related failure I would be happy to fix it!!! But If I take it in for a Failed Oil Pressure sending unit it should be fixed under warranty...

There are service techs that search for a reason to Flag your warranty. . Atleast 2 Dealerships that I know of the Techs are payed 40% to 60% less for warranty repairs. Same book time. . Different labor rate.
