I've been considering one of these for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger.

The company is called Kwik-Lift. It's just a simple low rise drive on lift but works great in a limited height garage.

Is this the one you went after in south joisey? How do you like it?

Yes. I like it very much. It is extremely easy to use.

I'm trying to figure it out. How does it work anyway? The back tucks in somehow? What does the lifting?

Yes, the back tucks under when lowered. Raised and lowered with a heavy floor jack.

Nice and simple.

And inexpensive. My favorite part.

Can it be fairly easily dismantled to make parking space for the grocery-getter?

 

[jgillott]

Yes. Approx 10 min to disassemble and store away. Much easier with 2 people. The individual ramp sections are fairly heavy.

You can also just lay it flat and park on top of it which is what I do when I'm not using it.
