Ordered a pair of Jam Strait

LED Taillight bulbs. Build quality was OK. Not great IMO.
I like the features of an LED bulb that include, cooler temps, brighter light, no fade in/fade out like an incandescent, and a long life.
They will take the place of the OE stop, signal and parking light bulb. P/N 3157. ('94 Dodge Ram) They go into the OE light bulb socket.
Directions said to identify the - & + of the light socket before inserting. No problem with a test light.
First impression is that they were too dim. Like a deep red color. All that is available is a RED LED BULB. This inside the OE red lens might be the main reason. If a clear LED bulb were available, they might work better. I think this is a clear lens type bulb (sport compact). Nothing in the discription or directions of the bulb says this though.
They didn't seem to project the light to the sides like the OE incandescant bulb did. (expected)
Tried the Stop Lights. OK
Tried the directionals. Do not work. Frozen ON.

If I was happy with the performance up to this piont,I would have got a electronic flasher to see if that would do it. The directions said a "variable load flasher" is needed. "most vehicles have this as OE".
Will return them ASAP. About $29. 00 a pair. Lifetime warranty . Not cheap.
