Pay Attention!!!

Just went and hunted down the info on the tractor/truck pull in my neighborhood.

Place : Farwell Fairground in Farwell Michigan.

Time : Sunday September 5th. Try to be checked in before 11:00 am

Price : $15. 00

was told 24" max hitch height and no weights on front! Trucks are expected to pull about noon but be here early to ensure.

Farwell is located 5 miles west of Clare on business 10 which is north of lansing about an hour and fifteen minutes. Clare is also west of Bay City about 50 miles.

This is all the info I was told so dust off your maps and shake the change jar.

If you need further directions I will be glad to help, My work is 100 yards from the pull site. Sorry for posting in rosebush eirlier (that pull is fourth of july) Also gassers and diesels will pull together. Im assuming this is a run what you brung street legal.

Be looking for my 98 with dodge deflecto deer raming bumper. Oo.

I have my older brother with a chiped power chicken talked into pulling, we have a big rivalry going, he can get me by about a truck lenth out the hole but I pull back around sixty when drag racing.

We have a pull in Elkton and we need to sign in by 4:30, can you find out what time we would pull, so we can look at going to both pulls?

Darryl

Pull

The guy called me back yesterday, and the downside of the discussion was that the track was only 210'. :( They want the class up there to run, but they understand that if we don't show up, he understand's why. He also said he hope's to have the track longer next year.

Saddening :( , had extremely dense fog here in the morning, I got to the pull about 11:00 and there was only one other fella there with a ford gasser on a trailor. They were supposed to take a break at noon to let us pull but noon came and went, then 1 then 2 and at 2:30 asked when and we were told another hour. The other puller and I decided to part ways. :( My first pull was botched.

The Elkton pull was great for me, the following footages maybe off a little:

Darryl Poole 2001 Dodge - 331' 1st (Tow truck)

Terry Guza 2002 Chevy - 309' 2nd

Tony Burkheart 2002 Chevy - 305' 3rd

Steve Nikkel 2003 Dodge - 297' 4th

Dave Bratt 1998 Dodge - 290' 5th. (Dave drop his 1st pull at 313' da!!!)

Nathon Drob 2003 Dodge - 278' 6th

Curt Aldridge 1999 Dodge - 268' 8th

The track was getting a lot of water put on it to slow us down and by the time Curt, Nathon and Dave pulled, they just spun all the way down the track.

I do not have anyone elses names or distances.

Darryl

Congrats Darryl, not bad for the tow rig, eh? Sounds like Bratt made a bad decision, who in their right mind turns down a 313' pull? Nice to see that Nate let 'ol Steve beat him for a change though. :) Sorry I missed it, I was out getting punished in PA.
