Oil pressure zero @ idle, not leaking, not sensor

I have noticed that over the was few weeks I am only getting around 5psi of boost pressure per my gauges. The truck starts and runs good but lacks power when trying to pass someone or when pulling anything. At a stop light, the boost pressure drops down to about 1 psi and at 60 it is at the 5psi. Any ideas on what might be causing this issue?

I have been reading the posts on the stuck open wastegate, but people say that should affect the low rpm speeds also, which I am not seeing. Any help would be great.

If there is excessive smoke then something with air delivery so could be air filter but most likely a boost leak. If there is no smoke then fuel delivery issue.

Okay thanks for the info. I noticed that there might be a slight bit more black smoke when I start it but nothing when I am driving that I can tell. I will be crawling under it tonight to inspect hoses and connections for any leaks. also want to see if the wastegate valve is moving at all. Truck has approx 240K on it

Well in the first backyard inspection of the truck, found that the air filter was packed up with a crap load of bird feathers, so replaced that and it sure helped in getting the 5 to 6 psi boost quicker. I did not find anything in the quick visual on the hoses. Plan on this weekend going through all the clamps and making sure none are loose, and wiping down all the lines so I can use some soapy water on them to see any possible leaks. One thing I did not mention in the first post is that it seem that my exhaust Gas temp is getting up there pretty quick also. In driving in this morning, getting form 40 to 60 mph, the EGT was running around the 1,000 to 1,100 range. Don't remember it getting that high before but wanted to see what others thoughts were on it

A higher EGT would indicate not enough air. I seldom see 1000 degrees while towing, and when I do I'm climbing a steep grade. Research making a device to pressurize the system with common PVC and parts from Lowes Depot.

dumb question but have you verified your gauge? i broke the line to the gauge once, i got really low reading but normal performance. otherwise i would check the boots.
