I was under the impression that peak torque was at 1400 rpm on the 03s and 1600 on the 04. 25s.

I can't find the webpage that had the torque curves for the 305/555, but it showed the torque rising till 1400 RPM, and then flat to around 2800 RPM. That indicated to me that the torque between 1400 and 2800 RPM was waste-gate limited. If you were to visually extend the curve to 600 ft-lbs, it appears that max torque is acheived at 1600 RPM, but it would still make 555 ft-lbs at 1400 RPM just like the older engines. This is all speculation on my part, and I am pretty stupid about diesel engines, buy it's my story and I sticking to it. :)

So, if I was to add the TST Powermax CR box, then I should see better towing performance at the lower RPM's? It would help me make up for not having the 4. 10's, right?

Thanks,

Dave

P. S. My old truck was just Dyno'ed at 253HP and 677ft-lbs. This should be more than my new truck. So, I guess I was spoiled a little:)
