Does anyone know where to get fabritech stage 2 ladder bars or anything better at a reasonable cost? I would go with the SS ladder bars but I dont want to weld to the axle tubes. Thanks.

Devildog,

FYI, If you decide to go with the Fabritechs, each one is custom made, so they say, and it takes about 3 weeks to get them. Another week or so, mine should be here.

I called fabritech.....

And talked to the tech support guy because National tire said that Fabritech didn't make the stage 2's for my truck, 200-D4 is the model number you need when ordering from national tire:rolleyes: Anyway the tech at Fabritech was saying that I may need to drill out my factory lift blocks to install larger pins to fit the bracket between the block and the axle tube plate:( has anyone else had to do this? isn't there a better ladder bar that has no BS to install???

CUMINNTSTRKN,

I have a dana 70 also, how do they look on your truck, any pic's? When I was talking with the Fabritech tech he was saying that the regular ladder bars are noisey because of the heim joint in front, are they? Will those ladder bars slip on the axle tube under heavy pressure? Will they fit in the area with the sway bar? thanks.

Devildog,

What year is your truck? They didn't mention any of that to me, either. I went with the heavy duties though, don't know if that makes a difference.

I have the stage II's, there was no drilling the plate either. I have the Dana 80 though. I chose the Stage II's as they mentioned quieter it has poly bushings and the plate that bolts between the block and leaf spring. You can check out the pic's of the install on my web page link in signiature may take some time to load though I need work on it more. let me try posting a link to the pics directly as well
