2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Larger anti-sway bar?

I would like some facts or opinions on changing to a larger anti-sway bar please. I have an '01 with the factory unit and I am wondering if the larger IPD unit would be worth the $$. The stock one measures 15/16" and the IPD is 1 1/4". I have a large Lance camper. TIA.

I went with air bags and that killed the sway.

Do you think the 15/16" bar is flexing? Tough call but I doubt it.



Have you changed the OEM rubber swaybar bushings w/ Polyurathane?



This should show a good improvement.

Remeber to check inside diameter too. some of the larger aftermarket bars aren't solid, so the larger size doesn't make a difference vs. the factory bar. Try the poly bushings first. this made a huge difference on my truck. Also, if you replace the front bar bushings, purchase bushings and mounts specifically for your model Dodge. The "universal" set they sold me for my truck did not last. the mount broke. The new set they sent me has lasted about 90,000 miles.

Hey Tanderson, either you have a huge camper or a low tolerance for sway. My guess is that it would make some difference, just not a lot given the airbags... unless they go flat.

Are you talking about the front or rear, or both?

HEMI Dart no I have not changed the bushings but it is worth a try. I don't know if it is flexing or not. I am thinking the rear only. I'm just looking to beef up whatever I can.
