Flashes with edge

Does anyone know what happens if one wants to get the latest flashes with the edge juice with attitude installed on the truck? They would have to disconnect the on board diagnostics port connection in order to do this. Can this be done without disconnecting everything else? Will the fact that the dpf and egr no longer works prevent this?

Any response from someone who has dealt with this would be appreciated. I have no problems, but I see comments on better fuel economy from the latest flashes.

Some one may correct me if I am wrong on this one. I do not believe you can flash an update if there is a CEL lamp on or active an code is present. If you disconnect the Edge with no EGR or DPF do you get a CEL light? I know the FERDs used to be that way.

If you are using the edge to clear codes on start up then I don't think it would be a good idea to try that. It would show a multitude of codes when they hooked the starscan to it.

The ECM can be reprogramed with DTC's stored, Once the Edge is disconnected from the DLC (diag connector).
