I'm goin to Charlotte...Neener Neener Neener

Any X-Files fans out there...

Written, signed, in envelope. Waiting for Friday of next week to mail it. I wanted to put a smiley face on the check with a highlighter or a comment in the "memo" line, but decided to just quit paying quietly.

It's going to be nice to get that kind of a pay raise each month. :D :D :D Oo. Oo. Oo.

Last C.S.check?

My two are 20yrs, and 26 yrs :D

But mine weren't "payments" like my truck.

I made 'em and it's my duty to support 'em.

I still send money to help out when needed.

My 26 year old daughter gave me my first granddaughter last Thanksgiving. :D :D (it's worth every cent each time I hold her);)

I really feel for you guys, especially the ones seperated from their children due to a lost marriage. It must be real tough not sleeping in the same house as the kids, I can't even imagine it. I see broken homes on a regular basis, it always hits home when the children invloved are around the same age as my girls. Not flaming anyone here, mind you. Just my thoughts on a crappy situation.

Looks like you have spent too much time with rosie and should have spent more time learning how to spell!

I got custody of my daughter and the ex was ordered to pay me $480 a month, which she never did. I finally reported her to the state after she remarried, they put a lien on her new husband's house (sorry dude). I finally got a check for $26,000, still a drop in the bucket raising a kid.

So how are these kids being supported now that your done paying child support? Are they 18? Or are you just bitter about having to give the ex money that you know isn't going to your children?

I think my biggest complaint about the child support is that it is not going towards the boys. She has a whole new wardrobe that gets replenished frequently, new computers for her (boys still don't have one till I get one of mine rebuilt for them). She is driving a new vehicle and many other little things that irk me. I am now making quite a bit less than I was and she is making more, but she is unwilling to change the child support amount. On top of that, I have had to relocate to South Carolina to be with my boys, leaving my house and farm behind and my animals in the care of others. I would have fought for full custody of the boys, but knew that I didn't have enough money nor the desire to put the boys through that type of custody battle.

Both. My son turns 18 next month. He's not lived with his mother for close to a year, but the law says she still gets the support. And what she does with it is her business - I don't have any say at all.

I don't begrudge any child the support he or she needs. Those kids didn't ask to be here. We were men enough to make them, we should be men enough to take care of them. But to take care of the ex instead is a whole 'nother story.

respect

After hearing more of the story it is not as bad as it sounded in the first post. I know some guys that don't care where the money is going (to kids or x ) they just done want to pay. I am very lucky to single and celibate (good thing for the human race)
